Staff Team

Our Team of churches is led by a team of clergy, working in partnership with our PCC (parochial Church Council) and the DCCs (District Church Councils) of each church community. Church Wardens and Parish Wardens are the chief lay officers of these councils.

The Team Rector is the "leader of leaders" in the team.

Currently this post is vacant, and the tasks usually conducted by our Team Rector are shared around our other clergy and lay officers.

Revd Dave Bull, currently serving in St Mary's Reigate has been appointed and will join us in early 2012. More details to follow.

Team Vicar ("Inherited Church" and Discipleship). Position currently vacant

This is the minister in our Team who takes a lead in shaping the worshipping life of our more traditionally focussed worship and providing opportunities for people within these church communities to grow in their faith as disciples of Jesus Christ. A new minister will be appointed to this post in 2012.

Team Vicar("Emerging Church" and Families Ministry) Paul Hinckley

Paul is the minister who (a) leads the More than Sunday project and the Encounter community, (b) gives leadership and support to the team's families ministry and (c) heads up the dialogue between emerging and inherited forms of church in the team.

Paul and Julie moved to Marlow after their marriage in summer of 2010.  Prior to ordination, Paul worked in several engineering environments for over 8 years in the aerospace and nuclear industries, responsible for structural safety analysis and high integrity computing systems. During his lay ministry, Paul was involved in a wide range of youth and children's work, teambuilding and leadership development.

Paul was ordained in 1994 and his ordained ministry has reflected his prior experience in ministry to younger people, team building, leadership development and training.  He joined the Marlow Area Team in 2010 having served in Group and Team Ministry based parishes in Yorkshire, Essex and Hampshire. Paul is an incurable petrolhead and enjoys walking in the wilds.

Paul's main passions in ministry are lay ministry development and creating church for people who don't do church, especially in the younger age range.

You can get in touch with Paul via email paulhinckley[at]marlowanglican.org.

Paul occasionally blogs on Re-Imagining Church
