Way in for First Time Visitors

Welcome!  If you are new to All Saints’ or to Marlow, we hope you will find the information you are looking for on this site.  This page gives answers to the questions that people ask most often.  Follow the links to find out more about the things that interest you.

When are the services?

Check out the pattern of services here.

Sunday moning services vary from the formal sung Holy Communion at 9.30am to the informal Encounter and TGIS services at 11.30am.  Both TGIS (Thank God It's Sunday) and Encounter have been developed locally and are modern fresh expressions of worship. TGIS is following the 'Messy Church' format which our young children enjoy immensely.

The more traditional sung Holy Communion at 9.30am varies between a full robed choir to an informal Family Service with Worship group.  All Saints' has a strong music tradition which is described here.

Every Sunday evening there is a service of Evensong or Evening Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer.

There is a service of Holy Communion on Tuesday morning, a Healing service on the first Friday evening in the month and a service  for Mum's and Toddlers (Little Angels) on the first Tuesday in the month.

Can I bring my young children to church?

Yes!  They and you are very welcome.  We have a permanent Crèche corner for the entertainment of young children, the 9.30am service has Junior Church for older children and Encounter, at 11.30am, has Time Out for similarly aged children.   You can find out more about our Family Ministry here.

Is there anything for teenagers?

The church supports (with the Methodist church in Marlow) a Community Youth Worker and youth groups meet in the Crypt under the church.

Details of the youth activities including their Sunday Youth Fellowshipcan be found here.

Can I look round the church?

We try to open the church every day, except Monday, from 11am to 4pm in summer and close the church at 2pm in winter.

How can I find out about having my baby baptised?

You can find out how to make arrangements for your baby's baptism here.

Can I get married in All Saints’?

Yes, if you live within the parish, but even if you don't live in the parish, it may still be possible to be married in All Saints’.  There is more information about this on the Weddings page.

I don't know much about the Christian faith, how can I find out more?

You're not alone!  Please come and talk to us. Most people start by coming to the 9.30am service on Sunday morning where we have people ready to welcome you and help you join us on a faith journey together.

I know someone who is very lonely.  Can the church help?

Yes, we have a number of pastoral visitors who provide support after bereavement, during illness or at other times of need.  Please contact the Parish Office (10.30am to midday) who will arrange for a suitable visitor.

Can you help me research my family history in Marlow?

We do not have a plan of those who are interred in the churchyard and our church records are held in the Aylesbury Record Office.

I can't find the answer to my question on this page!

There is a lot more information on this web site, accessed through the Index of Church Activities on the right hand side of this page.  If you can't find what you are looking for there, contact the Parish Office or telephone 01628 481806.
