Music at All Saints Marlow
Music at All Saints' Marlow
Music plays a very important part in the life of the church here, both in worship, where there is a wide range of opportunities for anyone with enthusiasm and commitment to make a valuable contribution, and in concerts and other presentations for the wider community.
All Saints' Marlow is recognised as having one of the traditional quality choirs in the area. We take pride in maintaining the tradition of boy and men choristers as well as a seperate girls' choir and an adult choir. Please visit the links below to see more information about the individaul groups.
There are also opportunities for musicans too as we build a worship band for our more informal acts of worship.
We are blessed with a very fine three-manual "Father" Willis organ (click here for specification), thoroughly overhauled by Mander Organs in 1997 (the company responsible also for the renovation of the "Father" Willis organ in the Royal Albert Hall) and a good Bechstein grand piano. The church has good acoustics for music, whether choral or instrumental and is a popular venue for concerts from both local and naitional performers.
